ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

I would like to extend my gratitude to the Fundação MEO for its
support and the institutional courage demonstrated in publishing this
work, to the artists who provided a rich and rewarding collaboration
throughout the preparation of the exhibition, to Mariana Rosa for
her meticulous book design, to Rui Torres, Luísa Ribas, and Miguel
Carvalhais for their insightful conversations on net art in Portugal,
and to José Roseira for the precision of his proof reading and trans-
lation work. Special thanks are due to the CAAA team, who unreser-
    vedly supported this curatorial endeavour.
