structured into two main chronological sections: the 1997-2007

The projects presented at CAAA were made available in the exhibition
space under varying conditions, though these did not replace their
original Internet-based experience. Four projects were presented in
documentary form, specifically the works of Susana Mendes Silva,
the collective Pizz Buin, Daniel Pinheiro & Annie Abrahams, and
Alice dos Reis. The work of the collective @c & Lia was also included
in a documentary format and led to an audiovisual performance by
@c & Rodrigo Carvalho. Additionally, documentation related to the
performance of Joana Chicau, presented live in Portugal for the first
time, was included. Excerpts from texts about her work – written by
the artist herself and by Daniel Temkin – were exhibited, along with
photographs of previous performances. Musician Luís Fernandes
created a live performance based on the unique and
ephemeral nature of electronic improvisation in real
time and space. The three performances featured in the
exhibition – by Joana Chicau, @c & Rodrigo Carvalho,
and Luís Fernandes – were held in CAAA’s Black Box
and streamed online, where they remain accessible
on the institution’s YouTube channel. Only two of
the featured projects exist online today: those by Rui Fig. 4 Study by Maria Luís Neiva for the
